The Vondelpark is one of my mothers old haunts. Somewhere she used to spend time during days of to have fun and relax.
There are people from all walks of life here. Everyone goes to the Vondelpark.
I especially liked the groups of young women. They were dressed really nicely. They were drinking champagne and eating strawberries! Thats my kind of picnic.

Tour of Amsterdam
So I asked my mother to write me a guide to Amsterdam. The guide was full of tailings she used to do when she lived there, the places that she lived and the food that she ate.
Frankfurt
I had a lot of fun in Frankfurt. I don't think it's the kind of place is want to live, but it's loads fun to visit!
For my last night Silke took me to get traditional food from the area, Apfel Wine, eggs and potatoes with green sauce, and a traditional cheese. I actually quite liked all of it! I think I will try to make the green sauce on my own sometime, though maybe a lighter version.

My Zeil
It's huge! It's expensive! It's really disorienting! I was getting so tripped out, it made me dizzy.
It's a mall! It was beautiful, but just too much for me.

Vegetarian Bistro
I loved this place! The cappuccino was by far one of the best coffees I've ever had. The food tasted like something I would cook myself. The cucumber salad was very similar to something my mother makes. The interior was both inviting and inspiring. The kind of place I would want to write a novel.
Kinder shop
I went into this store with the hopes of finding something for Caleb. But everything I liked was way too big for my backpack!
Rebuilt
Frankfurt was bombed pretty badly in WW2. The city is full of very modern buildings, and sky scrapers. All of the sky scrapers are banks. They have a lot of banks.
But this little area was rebuilt to look like it was old. Very cute, and touristy.

Dancers from New Zealand?
I was walking through the park along the canal. I was surprised to see Maori dancing!
Yes, I went to the opposite end of the world to see Polynesian dance in te park.
I found out that they were practicing for the museum fest that was happening that weekend. Which is a large international event.

Frankfurt Trainstation
I met Silke at her car when I arrived in Frankfurt. I was given a wet welcome from Jack.
I really liked the architecture of the station.

Yogurt
The container is so cute! Yay!
I wasn't planning on buying yogurt, but I did.
I didn't just buy it because it was cute, I needed a snack. But I defiantly grabbed that specifically because of the cute factor.
Yay! Good marketing!

The tram in Strassbourg
I really liked the tram in Strassbourg. It was very easy to use. The trams were very clean, and the interiors were colorful.
Strassbourg
I only had a day in Strassbourg. But I enjoyed the city.
While at dinner I met an American who had been living there for the last 10 years. He gave me a very historical tour of the city, along with personal anecdotes.
Of course I enjoyed the wine of the region.... I had a very nice Riesling. I wish I could drink wine that fine every day!

Julie's father's house
I stayed the night in Switzerland with Julie and her father. I really liked his house. It had a great view of the lake. And his cat is an adorable color point, though she isn't very social. I was spoiled with various salads, Swiss cheeses, and wine. I didn't manage to get to dessert till the next morning.
